Our August blog – Its a matter of national pride

Well I recently found myself jumping to the defence of local product “Tayto Cheese and Onion” when it was excluded from a tongue in cheek guide to the worlds greatest crisps. Normally this wee part of the world, despite only representing 3% of the UK population has no problem being heard, often for the wrong reasons, but I felt a sense of duty on this occasion.
We have a lot to be proud of here in Northern Ireland, apart from the politics, in which I have as much interest as cricket, where I couldn’t tell you one end of the court from the other.
There is often a pride in supporting local business, and Tayto is an example where we can compete with the best without any rose tinted spectacles.
Equally financial advice is available locally from many professional individuals who have gained their experience working for national employers, but apply their skills in the local market with every bit as much knowledge and expertise as their counterparts across that stretch of water.
There is nothing second best about dealing with highly qualified local advisers on the same wavelength as yourself – and if things go wrong, you can just find out where they live!
